Black Gumbo Packing Clay has been utilized at the highest levels in Professional Baseball for many years. Until recently, this clay has required much time and effort to prepare on-site, including: crushing large hard chunks with a 1-ton roller, hand screening to 1/4″ minus, adding water and mixing for proper moisture. The prepped clay would then normally only last through a homestand.
BlackStick™ goes through extensive preparation prior to the bagging process so you no longer have to take the time and effort to prep in-house. The pure gumbo mound clay is pre-screened to a 1/8″ minus, then goes through a process where moisture is added and blended thoroughly prior to bagging. Providing the same quality packing clay used at professional baseball facilities, but BlackStick™ is ready to use right out of the bag.
And because that rigorous prep work is no longer required, fields already using the Gumbo are able to shift hours/labor towards fine tuning other areas of the field. On fields where the Gumbo isn’t currently being used due to the amount of time and effort involved in the prep, a significant improvement to the highest traffic areas of their field can be made, all while spending less time and using less product for post-game repair.
