Do these dugouts need to be engineered? If so, why?

Does an architect require engineering for permitting purposes? Do we need to adjust the load on the dugouts for snow load, dead load, or live load? These are reasons you may need to engineer your dugouts.

In addition to the cost of the engineering analysis, material costs typically increase for any design adjustments that need to be made. Considerations include:

  • Stainless steel bolts
  • Foundation size increase
  • Adjustments to rebar cages
How do I integrate with a chain link fence?

For our Premium Team Dugouts, fence contractors can attach directly to the 4″ x 4″ steel frames with a 4″ x 4″ fence clamp. Custom hardware is typically NOT required to integrate the fencing.

If you are looking to integrate with our Team Dugouts, please contact us for more information.

What size dugout is recommended for different levels of play?

Dugout length is determined by the oldest age group of players using the field and the typical size of team rosters.

By age, we recommend these lengths:

  • 6-12 yrs.: minimum 20’L
  • 13-21 yrs.: minimum 30’L
  • Over 21 yrs.: 30′ to 40’L
How are dugouts shipped and what’s needed to unload?

Dugouts ship via flatbed in multiple pallets — a pallet for hardware, pallet for frames, pallet for roofing.

A forklift with extension forks is required for offload.

Please note: The number of pallets for shipping may vary depending on the size & quantity of the dugouts ordered.
