FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our padding uses closed-cell polyethylene foam, which provides consistent impact absorption and does not retain moisture. Unlike open-cell foam, closed-cell maintains its shape and protective qualities over time, even in outdoor environments exposed to rain and humidity.

Outdoor padding uses UV- and mildew-treated vinyl covers designed to hold up under direct sunlight, rain, and temperature swings. Indoor padding is available with fire-rated vinyl covers that meet building code requirements for enclosed facilities like gyms and fieldhouses. The foam core is the same high-quality closed-cell material in both options.

Yes. Our indoor wall padding, dugout padding, and post padding are all available with fire-rated vinyl covers. This is important for enclosed facilities that need to meet local fire codes. If you’re unsure whether your facility requires fire-rated material, check with your local building authority or ask our team when requesting a quote.

Yes. All of our padding products are available with custom CHROMA-BOND® imprinting. Your logo, team name, or sponsor branding is printed directly into the vinyl cover rather than applied as a surface decal, which produces a more durable finish that holds up through years of weather and use.

For most applications, 2″ closed-cell foam provides sufficient impact protection and is the standard across our backstop, dugout, indoor wall, and post padding lines. Stadium and field padding is available in 2″ to 4″ options for higher-impact applications like outfield walls at the collegiate and professional level. Our team can help you determine the right thickness based on your facility’s needs.

Mounting method depends on the application. Wall-mounted padding typically attaches with hook-and-loop fasteners, screws, or Z-clips. Post padding wraps around the structure and secures with hook-and-loop closures or lacing. Backstop padding commonly uses grommets and tie-backs for attachment to chain-link fencing. Our team can recommend the best mounting solution for your specific installation.

Lead times vary depending on the product and level of customization. Custom orders including branded padding with team colors and logos typically require additional production time. Contact our team for current lead times before placing a time-sensitive order.

Measure the total width and height of the area you want to cover, noting any obstacles like doors, gates, or protruding hardware that the padding needs to work around. For backstops, measure each straight section of fencing individually. Our team can review your measurements and create a custom layout. Fill out the quote form above to get started.
